Ji Zhibai was well aware that the classics of All the Saints were far more effective than any Courage to Write poem, but the prerequisite was understanding the Path of the Saints within those classics.
Before becoming a Semi-Saint, using Courage to Write poems was the best method to temper one's courage. There were quite a few Courage to Write poems on the Holy Origin Mainland, a total of fourteen, but none could compare to Fang Yun's "In Praise of a Humble Room."
Overuse of literary talent would lead to instability, and the same applied to the Courage to Write. Whether it was overusing or tempering the Courage to Write for too long, it would result in the depletion of its power. The better the Courage to Write poem, the better the effect within the same timeframe.
Therefore, scholars below the Semi-Saint level would mostly choose "In Praise of a Humble Room" to temper their courage. Now with "Song of Lime," they would undoubtedly use both poems alternately.
